01Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how VilfinTV ("VilfinTV", "we", "us") handles information when you use vilfintv.com and its pages, including the Multiscreener, VilfinTV News, Stories, Academy, Blog Intelligence Hub, screeners, calculators and the Market Assistant (together, the "Platform").

We built the Platform so that most of it works without an account. We collect as little personal information as possible, we do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

02Information We Collect

Information you choose to give us

• Email subscription. If you subscribe to the Daily Market Analysis & Sector Report, we store the email address you enter so we can send the report.
• Feedback and bug reports. When you use Report a Bug, Request a Feature or Send Feedback, we receive the subject and message you write. Please do not include sensitive personal information in these messages.
• Market Assistant and research tools. Questions, symbols or text you enter into the Market Assistant, Stock Research, Pre-Market Briefing or similar tools are processed to generate your answer. Do not enter personal, account or financial identifiers into these tools.

Information collected automatically

• Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the Platform is used: pages visited, time on page, referring site, browser and device type, and approximate location (city or country) derived from your IP address. Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers to do this.
• Server and delivery logs. Our hosting and content-delivery providers automatically record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type and request time, for security and reliability.

Information stored only on your device

• Your preferences, such as colour theme, selected benchmark, table columns and chart settings, recently used settings, favourite radio stations, TV channels and videos, recently played stations, playback volume, reading text size and saved tool connections, are kept in your browser's local storage. A connection or key you save for an optional tool stays in your browser and is used only to reach the service you chose; it is not sent to VilfinTV. This information stays on your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

We do not ask for, and the Platform does not need, your trading account, bank, PAN, Aadhaar or payment details.

03How We Use Information

• To provide and operate the Platform and its features.
• To send the market report you subscribed to, and to process unsubscribe requests.
• To review feedback and bug reports and improve the Platform.
• To measure usage, fix problems and keep the Platform secure, including preventing abuse.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

04Cookies & Analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Embedded third-party content (see below) may also set its own cookies. You can:

• block or delete cookies in your browser settings;
• install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on;
• learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

The Platform continues to work if you block analytics cookies.

Settings stored only in your browser

Some preferences are saved in your own browser's local storage and are never sent to us: your colour theme, your acceptance of the Portfolio Simulator risk warning (vt_sim_ack_v1, only if you tick "Don't show this again"), sections you minimise or expand (vt_col_*, vt_eco_*), the Simulator Buy profile you last viewed (vt_simbuy_*), simulator inputs such as tax slab, and sections you minimise on the Market Sentiment page (vt_ms_min_*). You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.

05Third-Party Content & Links

Parts of the Platform display or link to content provided by others, for example YouTube videos and live streams, TradingView charts and widgets, news publishers' headlines and images, NSE India quote pages, and broker, bank and investment platform websites. When you view embedded content or follow a link, the third party may collect information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Please review those policies.

Some links to brokers, banks and investment platforms are referral links. If you open an account through such a link, VilfinTV may receive a referral benefit. This does not change the price you pay, and we do not receive your account information from these providers.

06How We Share Information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:

• With service providers that help us run the Platform, such as hosting, content delivery, email delivery, form handling and analytics, and only so they can perform those services for us;
• When required by law, for example to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety and security of VilfinTV, our users or the public;
• In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case this Policy will continue to apply to your information.

07Data Retention

• Subscription email: kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from the mailing list.
• Feedback messages: kept for as long as needed to review and act on them.
• Analytics data: retained according to our Google Analytics retention setting, after which it is deleted automatically.
• Local-storage preferences: remain on your device until you clear them.

08Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections across the Platform and restricted access to stored subscription data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

09Your Rights & Choices

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, for visitors from the European Economic Area or the UK, the GDPR, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you, and correct it;
• request deletion of your personal information;
• withdraw consent, for example by unsubscribing from emails;
• raise a grievance or complaint with us, or with your data protection authority.

To unsubscribe at any time, visit the Unsubscribe page. For any other request, contact us as described below. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your request.

10Children

The Platform is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11International Users

Our service providers may process information in India and in other countries where they operate. Where information is transferred across borders, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
